Our team at God's Children Academy is comprised of experienced, loving, and compassionate members who prioritize safety and education. We take pride in the fact that all of our teachers are certified in First Aid and hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification, ensuring the highest standards of care for our students.
Director
Arij Chamoun
Arij Chamoun is GCA’s Director with 7 years of experience with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities & Social Science from William Paterson University with a minor in Social Justice and a concentration in psychology and sociology. Arij is licensed by the state with a certificate in Understanding Licensing Regulations. Arij specializes in children’s educational development and is responsible for leading teachers and children on supporting and teaching in a classroom setting. Arij is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. Arij is fluent in English, Arabic and Aramaic and is an active member at her church volunteering as a Sunday school teacher.
Head Teacher
Hala Shabo
Hala Shabo, our esteemed Head Teacher at God's Children Academy, brings a wealth of experience to our team with over ten years of expertise as a certified early childhood educator. Hala holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Teaching Methods from Syria. She is also credentialed as a Child Development Associate. Her passion for expanding her knowledge and teaching children life skills that will benefit them throughout their lives is evident in her dedication to her craft. Additionally, Hala is fluent in English, Arabic, and Aramaic, allowing her to connect with children from diverse backgrounds. In her spare time, Hala generously volunteers in her church's choir and teaches Sunday school, exemplifying her commitment to her faith and community.

Caroline Dowly
Caroline Dowly is an extremely creative and compassionate. She is passionate about providing an exceptional education and a loving, nurturing atmosphere for children. Caroline has the ability to develop and implement activities that improve children’s learning and behavioral skills. Some activities she leads include hands-on, play-based strategies such as games and crafts for experiential learning. She has knowledge of early childhood education with a focus on cultivating a safe and welcoming learning environment. Caroline is also CPR/First aid certified, and certified in Early Childhood Education, curriculum development, and creative lesson planning. She also specializes in motivating students, time management, and establishing strong parent communication skills.

Narjs Ibrahim
Narjs Ibrahim is a dedicated Teacher's Assistant at God's Children Academy, having joined the school in 2020. With her fluency in both Arabic and English, Narjs brings a unique skill set to the classroom, enabling effective communication and connection with students from diverse backgrounds. Narjs highly recommends God's Children Academy for its comprehensive approach to education. She appreciates how the school not only focuses on academic learning but also places a strong emphasis on nurturing the students, spiritual and emotional growth through engaging and enjoyable activities. With her caring and supportive nature, as well as her commitment to academic and personal growth, Narjs is a valued member of GCA's team, making a positive impact on the lives of the students and contributing to their overall development.
